PEI Cooks at Home

Celebrating Prince Edward Island’s Home Kitchens, Traditions, and Local Food

This community-driven cookbook brings together Island home cooks, local ingredients, and generations of kitchen traditions — connecting families back to real food, one meal at a time.

About the Cookbook

More Than a Cookbook  A Celebration of Island Kitchens

PEI Cooks at Home is a collection of real recipes from across Prince Edward Island shared by home cooks, families, and community members who bring Island kitchens to life every day.

What began as a simple way to share recipes through the PEI Good Eats community has grown into something much bigger a cookbook rooted in tradition, connection, and the joy of cooking at home.

Each recipe reflects the people behind it their stories, their families, and the local ingredients that shape life on the Island. From seafood chowders and hearty one-pot meals to homemade breads and desserts, this book captures how Islanders cook, share, and gather around the table.

This is more than just food  it’s about preserving traditions, supporting local producers, and bringing people back into their kitchens.
